HONOR Magic8 Pro Air launched: 6.1mm slim body, 6.31-inch display, and Dimensity 9500

After the teaser, HONOR now finally reveals its compact and ultra-thin flagship contender.

Slim meets powerful performance

The HONOR Magic8 Air features a metallic satin-finish back, achieved through a multi-layer coating process that HONOR compares to automotive paint.

Available colors include Fairy Purple, Light Orange, Feather White, and Shadow Black. The aluminum frame is designed for improved strength despite the phone's thin profile. It weighs 155 grams and measures 6.1mm in thickness.

Additionally, it has an IP68/69 dust and water resistance as extra protection.

The colors available and the screen

The front is equipped with a 6.31-inch OLED panel featuring narrow bezels listed at 1.08mm on all sides. The screen supports 2640 x 1216 resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, 6000 nits peak brightness, and Giant Rhino Glass protection.

Inside, it is powered by a 3nm MediaTek Dimensity 9500 chipset with Mali-G1 Ultra MC12 GPU. 

The features

The phone is available in 12GB/16GB RAM and 256GB/512GB/1TB storage options.

The battery uses a 5,500mAh + USB-C 80W wired charging and 50W wireless charging.

The rear camera system includes a 50MP main sensor with OIS + 50MP 112-degree ultra-wide camera + 64MP 3.2x periscope telephoto lens. 

On the front side, it uses 50MP sensor for clear selfies and video calls.

New software features include an AI-assisted flash system that adjusts output across zoom levels and a strobe-style portrait mode for low-light photography.

Others mentioned are stereo speakers and a 3D ultrasonic fingerprint sensor.

Connectivity features are WiFi 7, 5G, 4G VoLTE,  Bluetooth 6.0, GPS, NFC, and dual SIM.

For OS, the phone runs on Android 16 with MagicOS 10 skin on top.
