xAI issued an explanation and corrective actions regarding Grok and has immediately addressed the misuse issue. DICT added that it will work with xAI to ensure compliance with Philippine laws and safeguards.

Alongside NTC and CICC, DICT will meet with xAI to finalize Grok's return to the Philippines.

DICT will soon officially announce the return of the Grok service in the Philippines.

To recap,
the DICT earlier ordered Grok's takedown in the Philippines, citing lapses in content regulation under the Cybercrime Prevention Act.

The move aims to protect the public from exploitation through Grok's ability to manipulate content, create sexually explicit materials, and generate deepfakes of real individuals without consent.

DICT added that it is closely monitoring global actions against Grok AI amid serious concerns over its misuse in producing non-consensual, sexually explicit, and manipulated images, including deepfakes involving women and minors.

What do you guys think?
