HONOR Magic8 RSR Porsche Design to launch on January 19

HONOR has confirmed the launch date of the Magic8 RSR Porsche Edition and provided the first official look at the device's design.

A teaser video and images detailing the phone's color options have been released.

The smartphone is scheduled to debut in China on January 19, where it will be unveiled alongside the Magic8 Pro Air.

A key design change from its predecessor is the redesigned rear camera module, which moves away from the hexagonal shape used on the Magic7 RSR Porsche Edition to house its triple-camera system.

The model will be available in Moonlight Stone and Slate Grey color variants for the Chinese market.

Separately, tipster DCS has shared purported specifications for the device. These include a 6.71-inch 1.5K LTPO display, the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 platform, 24GB RAM, 1TB storage, and a 7,200mAh battery supporting 120W wired and 80W wireless charging.

The camera system is tipped to consist of a 50MP main sensor, a 50MP ultrawide lens, and a 200MP periscope telephoto camera offering 3.7x optical zoom, paired with a 50MP front-facing camera. 

Other rumored features include an IP69K rating, a 3D ultrasonic fingerprint scanner, satellite communication capability, and a dedicated camera button.
