TECNO reveals Modular Magnetic Interconnection Technology—4.9mm thin phone w/ attachments

At just 4.9mm thin, the new concept is an ultra-thin smartphone that can transform into an even more capable device with different magnetic attachments without adding bulk.

MODA edition

It is available in two versions—the ATOM edition with a clean silver-aluminum body and signature red accents, and the MODA edition with geek-inspired aesthetics.

Both are designed to be a lasting personal choice. TECNO said that this phone "grows on demand."

Sleek and modular

According to TECNO, it features a hybrid connection architecture with a precision-engineered rectangular magnetic tray for secure attachment paired with pogo-pin connectors for efficient and low-heat power delivery.

The data transmission will seamlessly switch from WiFi, Bluetooth, and millimeter-wave (mmWave) communication for higher bandwidth and lower-latency interaction. 

TECNO claims that this is an invisible and automatic process for instant pairing.

Basically, the modular system delivers the freedom to assemble a personalized stack that fits any moment. This is the most exciting modular concept so far.
