vivo V70 Elite launched: Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chip, ZEISS cameras, 6,500mAh battery

vivo introduced the "Elite" version of the V70 in India, a premium-tier mid-range smartphone with a strong focus on cameras.

The handset features a flat design with a 6-series aluminum frame and frosted glass (Glass fiber for Authentic Black or Glass for Passion Red, Sand Beige) at the back, and a 6.59-inch AMOLED screen with 120Hz refresh rate, 1.5K resolution, and an upgraded 3D Ultrasonic In-Display fingerprint sensor. The design is similar to the OPPO Find X9 Pro.

For durability, the device has up to 1.8 meters of drop resistance, an IP68/69 dust and water resistance rating, and Schott Xensation Core glass in front.

Inside, the phone is packed with the 4nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 octa-core processor with Adreno GPU. This is a reasonably fast and capable processor for casual mobile gamers and creators alike.

The processor is assisted by up to 12GB LPDDR5X RAM and up to 512GB UFS 4.1 storage.

In the battery department, it uses a large 6,500mAh BlueVolt battery with up to 90W of Type-C wired charging and bypass charging support.

For cameras, users will get ZEISS Optical Standards certified 50MP f/2.0 OIS main shooter, 8MP f/2.2 ultra-wide camera, and a 50MP f/2.65 3x telephoto shooter.

According to vivo, this can do 0.8x to 2x seamless zoom, clear up to 10x Portrait shots, and has up to 100x digital zoom. The device can also record up to 4K 60fps with Zoom Clarity tech up to 3x.

The device also has up to 4 major OS upgrades and 6 years of security patches.
