Efficient AI Chatbot

DITO Telecommunity's artificial intelligence platform, "KAi," received recognition at the 13th Asia-Pacific Stevie Awards, placing among the standout innovations from a field of more than 1,000 entries across the region.

In case you don't know yet, "KAi" is an AI-powered chatbot developed in-house by DITO. According to the company, the system resolves up to 98% of customer inquiries without human intervention across the DITO app, eShop, and social media channels.

By automating routine customer concerns, the platform allows human agents to handle more complex inquiries, which DITO says has reduced frontline support costs while increasing the length and complexity of human-handled interactions.

The system operates around the clock and supports in-chat transactions, according to the company.

Adel Tamano accepted the award on DITO's behalf at the ceremony held in Macao.

KAi represents how we are reimagining what service can be for Filipinos," he said. "When technology works seamlessly in the background, it unlocks more time, more opportunity, and a better everyday experience. That is the kind of innovation we are building—not just for efficiency, but to truly serve and empower our customers."

The Asia-Pacific Stevie Award is one of several recent recognitions for the platform. At the Asian Telecom Awards 2026, KAi was named AI Initiative of the Year for the Philippines. DITO's cybersecurity program, Secured Tayo, also received recognition at the same event, winning Cybersecurity Initiative of the Year for the Philippines.

DITO has also gained attention for its network performance. At the 2026 Mobile World Congress, the company was recognized as the top-rated mobile network in the Philippines by Ookla for the second half of 2025, and earned a fastest network designation from Opensignal.

DITO, which launched as the Philippines' third major telecommunications player, has positioned KAi as a long-term platform intended to expand its capabilities over time through continued development.
