The HUAWEI Mate 80 Pro comes in Black and Gold color options, built with the company's Super Durable Architecture that incorporates reinforced structural layers for improved bend resistance. 

The device carries both IP68 and IP69 ratings, offering robust protection against dust and water.

High class of durability

On the front, the handset sports a 6.75-inch LTPO OLED display protected by second-generation Kunlun Glass, delivering a resolution of 2832 x 1280 pixels and a peak brightness of 3,000 nits. The screen also supports a 120Hz refresh rate, 1440Hz PWM dimming, and a 300Hz touch sampling rate.

HUAWEI has remained tight-lipped about the processor powering the device, though it confirmed that the chip is paired with 16GB of RAM and 512GB of internal storage. 

To manage thermals during demanding tasks, the Mate 80 Pro also employs a SuperCool Dual-Phase Change Heat Dissipation System to sustain peak performance without throttling.

Keeping the lights on is a 5,750mAh battery that supports 100W wired fast charging and 80W wireless fast charging.

Better and clearer zoom range

For imaging, the Mate 80 Pro is equipped with a triple rear camera setup headlined by a 50MP main sensor with a variable aperture ranging from f/1.4 to f/4.0 + 40MP ultra-wide camera + 48MP macro telephoto lens. 

The system offers 4x optical zoom, up to 100x digital zoom, and 8K video recording capability. 

Selfie duties fall to a 13MP front camera that also supports 4K video recording.

Additional features include 3D face unlock, an in-display fingerprint scanner, and an infrared sensor.

A Mate for executives

On the connectivity front, the Mate 80 Pro supports dual SIM with 4G, WiFi 7, Bluetooth 6.0, and NFC.

As for software, it runs on EMUI 15 out of the box.

The Huawei Mate 80 Pro is set to launch in the Philippines on April 17. For a limited time, it will be available at a promotional price of PHP 64,999, with an additional PHP 5,000 discount for purchases made using cards from select banks. 

Early buyers will also receive a freebie bundle consisting of a Huawei Watch GT 5, valued at PHP 12,999, and a premium care service worth PHP 9,999.

Starting April 10, exclusive vouchers worth PHP 1,500 will be made available on Shopee, Lazada, and TikTok, though supplies are limited. 

On the HUAWEI Online Store, customers may place an early deposit of PHP 500 between April 10 and April 17 until 12PM to receive PHP 3,500 off upon settling the remaining balance by April 30.
