HUAWEI launches the WATCH FIT 5 Series in Thailand and is set to arrive in the Philippines soon.

Updated advanced health trackers

To recap, these are the updated versions of the highly popular WATCH FIT Series, which contributed to HUAWEI being the number 1 wearable brand in the Philippines.

They are composed of WATCH FIT 5 as the base variant and FIT 5 Pro for the improved edition.

Both models carry forward the series' recognizable design language, built with aluminum midframes and sharing the same two-button layout, a digital crown, and a shortcut button, positioned on the right side of the case. The difference is that the Pro variant adds a titanium bezel for a more premium finish. 

The WATCH FIT 5 is available in Purple, Green, White, Black, and Silver, while the WATCH FIT 5 Pro comes in Black, White, and Orange.

On the display front, the WATCH FIT 5 Pro features slimmer bezels accommodating a larger 1.92-inch AMOLED touchscreen, 2.5D sapphire glass, and a peak local brightness of 3,000 nits. 

The standard WATCH FIT 5 comes with a 1.82-inch AMOLED display rated at 2,500 nits. Both watches support Always-On Display watch faces.

For health monitoring, both models are equipped with updated 6 LED and 6 PPG optical heart rate modules along with temperature sensors. 

On the other hand, the Pro model goes further, adding ECG and depth sensing capabilities. Both are rated at 5 ATM for water resistance, though the Pro is additionally certified for freediving at depths of up to 40 meters.

For fitness tracking, the series offers a broad range of sports modes, including an updated cycling mode. Both versions feature dual-band GNSS positioning, NFC, and Bluetooth 6.0, features that are expected to carry over to global variants.

Additional features include an onboard microphone, speaker, and a built-in recorder for capturing voice notes directly from the wrist.

Battery life is rated at up to seven days under normal use or ten days in a lighter usage mode. With Always-On Display enabled, users can expect around four days. Both models charge via a proprietary magnetic puck charger.
