Meta Glasses launched: Stylish AI smart eyewear from Meta and EssilorLuxottica, starts at USD 299

In partnership with EssilorLuxottica, Meta introduced the new Meta Glasses that build on the popularity of the prior Ray-Ban Meta.

The new Meta Glasses focus on looking good and feeling great all day long. It is made of premium materials, comes in rich colors, and features smart adjustments, such as three-way nose pads, hinges that work better for wider faces, and temple tips that can be fine-tuned at an optician.

The series comes in several eye-catching designs: Meta Adventurer, Meta Fury, and Meta Starfire Kylie Edition.

These glasses are designed to be lightweight and well-balanced, much like regular high-quality eyewear, so they're comfortable for extended wear. Here's how the main variants measure up:

Meta claims that they made sure that the frames are not only durable but designed to accommodate a wide variety of lens chocies including prescription, sunglasses, polarized, and more.

It features 6 microphones and open-ear speakers that let users enjoy music, podcasts, and calls while still hearing the world around them. It has a dedicated button for quick access to Meta AI, plus easy hands-free photo and video capture. Privacy features give you control, and a convenient foldable charging case keeps them powered on the go.

Meta says that its internal battery can last for more than 8 hours on a single charge, and the included cases extend it up to 40 extra hours. 

On the side is the 12MP camera that captures clear photos and videos hands-free. It can now capture a 'dynamic photo,' which means it takes several shots and suggests the best one.

Meta says that these are the first Meta Glasses that launch with Meta AI-powered Muse Spark. Muse Spark is Meta's advanced model that understands what you see, offers smarter answers, handles live translation, and provides helpful pedestrian turn-by-turn navigation.

The Meta Glasses are now available for purchase in the United States through Meta's web store. It will be available from Amazon, Best Buy, LensCrafters, Sunglass Hut, and other retailers soon after.

There is no word yet on international or Philippine availability and pricing.
