Xiaomi portable coffee Machine launched: 20 bar pressure + up to 400 cups in a single charge

After launching the home espresso machine last year, Xiaomi now introduces a portable version.

Xiaomi has unveiled a portable espresso machine under its Mijia brand, marking the company's entry into the handheld coffee appliance market. The Mijia Portable Coffee Machine is a battery-powered device intended for use during travel, camping, or in office settings.

The unit measures 24.5 cm in height and 7.15 cm in width, a form factor comparable to a standard vacuum flask, allowing it to fit in a backpack or car cup holder. 

It is equipped with a 20-bar electromagnetic pump for coffee extraction and features a dual-compatible brewing chamber that accommodates both proprietary capsules and ground coffee.

The features

Temperature is regulated through a ceramic heating element paired with a PID algorithm, maintaining water at 92°C (197°F). The machine supports both hot and cold extraction, with a typical brew cycle completing in approximately 45 seconds.

Power comes from three 2,500 mAh batteries, totaling 7,500 mAh of capacity. The device charges via USB-C at up to 45W, reaching 80 percent charge in around 30 minutes and full capacity in 80 minutes. It is also compatible with standard portable power banks.

Best for outdoor use

Battery performance varies by use case. When pre-heated water is used, bypassing the internal heater, Xiaomi claims the device can yield up to 400 cups per charge. 

Meanwhile, using room-temperature water while the ceramic heater is active significantly reduces the output to approximately 3 cups per charge.

The exterior carries an IP55 rating for dust and water resistance. The brewing chamber is removable for cleaning. 

Included accessories consist of a carrying case, an aluminum alloy stand, a metal coffee basket, a scoop, and a double-wall stainless steel cup.
