Globe partners w/ KDDI
The collaboration builds on Globe’s digital shift, moving beyond simply reopening stores to reimagining how retail can deliver seamless, digital‑first, and value‑driven customer experiences.
With the help of KDDI's expertise in Japan—where telecom services are integrated with financial, entertainment, and lifestyle offerings—Globe aims to complement its scale and reach across 67 million mobile customers.
As an initial step, Globe and KDDI are exploring ways to expand and innovate Globe's retail footprint, balancing digital adoption with the need for human connection and trusted support.
Globe has always believed that growth goes hand in hand with elevating our over-all customer experience philosophy, said Carl Cruz, President and CEO of Globe. This strategic partnership with KDDI gives us the opportunity to learn from one of the world's most advanced telco and digital ecosystems, while bringing Globe’s deep understanding of the Filipino customer to the table. Together, we aim to explore new ways to make mobile services more relevant, retail experiences more seamless, and digital solutions more responsive to the evolving needs of Filipinos. As we look toward 2027 and beyond, our goal is to create value that goes beyond connectivity and helps build a stronger, more inclusive digital ecosystem for the country.
This partnership reflects Globe's broader shift from a connectivity provider to a digital ecosystem that delivers more value, convenience, and care.
