The realme 15 Pro 5G Game of Thrones Edition

We recently took the rather striking realme 15 Pro 5G Game of Thrones Limited Edition to Baguio on a photowalk to document one of the Philippines' grandest festivals.

Our goal for the weekend was simple: capture the magic in the most efficient, point-and-shoot way possible.

Quick Camera Recap

Before we dive into the photos, let's quickly recap the main camera features of the realme 15 Pro 5G Game of Thrones Edition. While we weren't able to go through every setting, it's good to know what kind of power was in our pocket.

At its core, the realme 15 Pro 5G is equipped with a powerful 50MP f/1.8 Sony IMX896 main camera with OIS. It's the same kind of high-performance sensor you'd find in several more expensive, high-end smartphones, which is a big deal for a phone in this category. OIS (Optical Image Stabilization) is also super helpful, as it works behind the scenes to keep your shots steady and clear, even when you're on the move or in a bustling crowd.

realme also paired it with a versatile 50MP f/2.0 115-degree ultra-wide-angle camera, perfect for capturing those grand festival scenes or sweeping landscapes. And for all your selfies and video calls, there's another impressive 50MP f/2.4 shooter up front. The phone even has a two-tone AI Magic Glow 2.0 flash for better lighting in challenging situations.

Beyond the hardware, the device packs several cool photography and AI features. Think Smart scenes that automatically optimize for things like "Party Stage" or "Fireworks," fun "Lighting effects" like Starburst Heart, and an "AI Snap Mode" for quick, intelligent shots. While we didn't deep-dive into all these during our Baguio photowalk, it's great to know they're there for those who want to experiment.

And for those who love video, this is one of the few phones capable of recording up to 4K 60fps on all three (3) cameras: main, ultra-wide, and front. This makes it incredibly versatile for capturing dynamic moments for budding creators or for those who just want super smooth, high-quality videos of your adventures.

For our Panagbenga photowalk, it was mostly about letting the phone do the heavy lifting in its automatic modes, and as you'll see, it handled it beautifully.

Game of Thrones Edition: Look and Feel

As a Game of Thrones fan, carrying this version of the realme 15 Pro 5G around Baguio felt special. The design is a definite head-turner, especially with the House Targaryen Sigil prominently displayed at the back. The phone felt surprisingly comfortable and secure in my hand despite its unique aesthetic.

Weighing only 187 grams, it's fairly lightweight and doesn't cause too much strain, especially when trying to get the perfect shots during the parade.

Here’s how the realme 15 Pro 5G Game of Thrones Edition performed as we navigated the vibrant, bustling streets and sights of Baguio.

1. Grand Street Dance Festival at Melvin Jones Football Grounds

Despite the heat of the sun, the energy at Melvin Jones was electric! Dancers in elaborate, colorful costumes moved with incredible rhythm, and the sheer number of people created a dynamic, ever-changing scene. My main concern was capturing the vibrancy and motion without ending up with blurry messes.

The realme 15 Pro 5G really shone here. With just a quick point and tap, it managed to snap photos that truly captured the spirit of the event. The colors of the costumes absolutely popped, and even with subjects moving, many shots came out surprisingly clear. It was a true "point-and-shoot" success, allowing me to focus on the performance rather than my phone's settings.

2. Grand Floral Float Parade at Session Road

Session Road during the Grand Floral Float Parade is a visual feast. Intricately designed floats adorned with thousands of flowers slowly make their way down the street. It's a photographer's dream, but also a challenge to capture the scale and detail amidst the bright daylight and packs of spectators.

The phone handled the bright conditions beautifully. The colors of the flowers and the float designs were incredibly vivid and true to life.

Every detail, from the petals to the parade participants, was well-defined.

3. Indoor Shots at Oh My Gulay!
After the excitement of the parades, a visit to the unique and art-filled interior of Oh My Gulay! offered a chance to capture a different kind of atmosphere. This spot, with its quirky decor and often dimmer, moodier lighting, provided a test for indoor performance and color accuracy.

The phone handled the indoor lighting well, preserving the cozy and artistic ambiance of the restaurant. Colors remained accurate, whether it was capturing the vibrant dishes or the eclectic art on the walls.

It didn't struggle to find focus, allowing me to quickly snap photos of the interesting surroundings.

4. Outdoor Shots at Igorot Stone Kingdom
Away from the festival's hustle and the city's indoor charm, the Igorot Stone Kingdom offered a different kind of beauty. Here, the challenge was capturing the textures and the natural lighting of the landscape.

The realme 15 Pro 5G continued to impress. The outdoor shots were crisp, and the natural light was handled well, showcasing the varying shades and textures of the stone.

It managed to capture the depth and character of the place, making the photos feel almost as immersive as being there.

5. Night Time Outdoor Shots at Session Road
As evening fell, Session Road transformed once again. Night photography is often where phone cameras struggle, but to no surprise the realme 15 Pro 5G was able to keep up.

The phone managed to capture the ambiance of the illuminated streets without excessive noise or blur. Streetlights looked good, and the overall scene retained a good level of detail and color, making for some atmospheric photos that truly conveyed the Baguio night vibe.

What really stood out was how well it captured the mascots and street performers that came out at night. Even in the dim light, their colorful costumes were rendered nicely, and the phone managed to freeze their movements without too much blur, which is a big win for casual night photography.

Quick thoughts

The realme 15 Pro 5G Game of Thrones Edition proved to be a reliable and impressive camera for capturing real-life moments, especially in dynamic and challenging environments like the Panagbenga Festival in Baguio City. Its ability to produce vibrant, clear photos with minimal effort makes it a fantastic choice for the everyday user who wants to document their adventures beautifully.

If you're a traveler, or simply someone who loves capturing life's moments without needing to be a photography expert, the realme 15 Pro 5G is a solid choice for a camera phone. It proves that you don't need to dive deep into technical settings to get stunning, memorable photos. Just point, shoot, and let the phone work its magic, leaving you free to enjoy the experience!
