Sony launches 1000X THE COLLEXION in PH: Premium build, AI ANC, and PHP 36,999 SRP

Sony officially introduced the 1000X THE COLLEXION premium wireless headphones with legendary noise cancellation in the Philippines.

The new king of wireless headphones with ANC?

The launch of the new 1000X THE COLLEXION marks the 10th anniversary of Sony's now legendary 1000X series, which has redefined the personal listening experience since its debut in 2016.

A dramatic ballet-led product reveal unveiled the new 1000X THE COLLEXION against a backdrop of movement, music, and visual storytelling. Later, the guests were welcomed by Sony executives, including Shuhei Sugihara, President and Managing Director of Sony Philippines, and Kentaro Imamura, Sony Philippines' Marketing Director, who shared the vision behind the new product and Sony's continuing commitment to delivering an elevated listening experience.

Panelists discuss what they love about the new headphones

The evening's highlight was a panel discussion moderated by Rammy Bitong, featuring Rajo Laurel, Mika Lagdameo, Daryl Chang, and Archie Carrasco.

The new headphones feature a stainless steel frame with a mix of sandblasted matte texture and polished glossy accents, which is paired with faux leather ear cups and a headband. Sony claims that the headband is wider and more cushioned than previous models.

It is advertised to produce a balanced profile, with controlled bass, natural-sounding vocals, and clearer high frequencies. Sony states that it collaborated with mastering engineers from Battery Studios, Sterling Sound, and Coast Mastering to fine-tune the drivers, aiming for a sound that closely replicates the original mix.

Inside are bespoke 30mm unidirectional carbon composite drivers with dual processors (HD Noise Canceling Processor QN3 + Integrated Processor V3). Around the headphones are 12 microphones, with 6 beamforming microphones for AI noise reduction.

It connects via Bluetooth 6.0 with LE Audio, and it supports LDAC and Spatial Audio.
