Once ready, GCash will allow up to three cards to be linked per account, giving users flexibility to set a default card, manage, or unlink cards anytime.
Basically, this enables seamless Scan to Pay transactions without the hassle of topping up, letting customers go fully cashless while leaving both bills and plastic cards behind.

For security, the country's leading finance super app said that card linking will require a one‑time password (OTP), while eligible transactions can be authenticated via biometrics or phone PIN for added protection.
