REDMI K100 Pro launched: Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5V, 8,580mAh battery, 200MP camera

Apart from the Pro Max model, there's also a REDMI K100 Pro variant.

The REDMI K100 Pro measures 8.55mm thick and weighs 218 grams. It is available in four color options: black, white, shimmering light, and Cabernet Sauvignon red.

Furthermore, it has triple IP ratings of IP66/68/69 for enhanced protection against water and dust.

The device features a 6.59-inch OLED flat display with a resolution of 2510 x 1156. The panel supports a 185Hz refresh rate and uses M11 luminescent material, reaching up to 2,200 nits of full-screen brightness with support for full-brightness DC dimming.

The features

Under the hood, the Redmi K100 Pro is powered by the new Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5V Series chipset, a variant with one less GPU slice than the standard Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5.

It is paired with 12GB/16GB LPDDR5X RAM and 256GB/512GB UFS 4.1 storage, while cooling is managed by a smaller 5,150mm² ice-cooled circulating pump. The phone also incorporates Xiaomi's in-house D2 discrete graphics chip and T1+ signal booster.

Powering the device is an 8,580mAh battery with 26% silicon content and an energy density of 945Wh/L. It supports 100W wired fast charging and 50W wireless charging, along with 27W wired reverse charging and 22.5W wireless reverse charging.

For imaging, the Redmi K100 Pro is equipped with a 200MP primary camera featuring optical image stabilization, a 50MP telephoto camera, and an 8MP ultra-wide-angle camera. A 32MP selfie camera handles front-facing shots.

Other features include stereo speakers with Bose tuning, although it will be limited to 2.0-channel sound only.

Connectivity features are WiFi 7, 5G, 4G, Bluetooth 6.0, GPS, NFC, and dual SIM.

The Redmi K100 Pro runs on Xiaomi's HyperOS 3.0.

It is currently available in China. No word yet if it is going to launch in the Philippines.
