REDMI K100 Pro Max launched: 185Hz M11 OLED screen, Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, 9,070mAh battery

After the teasers, Xiaomi finally launches the REDMI K100 Series, including the top-end model.

Bigger battery and smoother display

The REDMI K100 Pro Max measures 8.45mm thick and weighs 238 grams, making it slightly slimmer than its Pro sibling despite the larger dimensions. It features a glass fiber back cover and is available in Black, Gold, Blue, and Red color options.

The device also comes with an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor and carries IP66, IP68, and IP69 ratings for dust and water resistance.

On the front, the phone sports a 6.9-inch OLED flat display with a resolution of 2608 x 1200. The panel supports a 185Hz refresh rate and uses M11 luminescent material, matching the display technology found on the standard Pro model.

Powering the device is Qualcomm's full-core Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor with Adreno GPU. 

It is paired with 12GB/16GB LPDDR5X RAM and 256GB/512GB/1TB UFS 4.1 storage, while heat dissipation is handled by a 6,300 mm² ice-sealed circulating cooling pump, an increase in size compared to the Pro model's cooling system.

The features

The Pro Max houses a 9,070mAh battery with 16% silicon content, giving it a larger capacity than the standard Pro. 

Charging is handled via 100W wired fast charging and 50W wireless charging, with the device also supporting 27W wired reverse charging and 22.5W wireless reverse charging.

On the imaging front, the Redmi K100 Pro Max is equipped with a 200MP main camera with optical image stabilization, a 50MP periscope telephoto lens, and a 50MP ultra-wide-angle camera, representing an upgrade over the camera setup on the standard Pro.

Other features mentioned are the Bose-tuned 2.1-channel speaker system consisting of dual 1115D master-level speakers alongside Deco 2016 tablet-level speakers.

For connectivity, the Pro Max includes Wi-Fi 7 (2.4 GHz/5 GHz/6 GHz), 5G, 4G, Bluetooth 6.0, GPS, NFC, and dual-SIM support.

Finally, the smartphone runs on Xiaomi's HyperOS 3.0 out of the box.
