vivo recently launched the S2, a new slim and sleek-looking mid-range smartphone.

The vivo S2 arrived in a durable frame with MIL-STD-810H certification and IP68/69 dust and water resistance ratings available in Sapphire Blue, Regal Bronze, and Silk White colors.

The Sapphire Blue and Regal Bronze variants are just 7.99mm slim, weighing 197 grams. The Silk White variant is a bit thicker at 8.10mm and a tad heavier at 199 grams.

The design at the back reminds us of the higher-end X300 FE.

Key selling points of vivo S2

In front, it has a 6.83-inch 3D curved AMOLED screen with a 120Hz refresh rate, 2.8K 2800 x 1260 resolution at 449 ppi, HDR10+, and 3,000 nits of peak brightness.

Inside, the phone is powered by the 4nm MediaTek Dimensity 7360-Turbo processor. vivo paired it with 8GB LPDDR4X RAM and 256GB UFS 3.1 internal storage.

The surprise is that it sports a large 7,050mAh battery despite the slim profile. It supports Type-C 45W fast charging and bypass charging.

Keeping the performance in check is a 3,800 mm2 vapor chamber cooling system.

For cameras, it has a 50MP f/1.8 Sony IMX582 main camera paired with a 2MP f/2.4 bokeh camera and the Aura Light circular ring flash for improved photographs even in challenging conditions.

In front, it has a 32MP f/2.0 shooter for selfies.

Other features of the device include stereo speakers, dual-band WiFi, 5G, 4G LTE, GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, QZSS, BeiDou, and dual SIM slots.

The phone runs on Android 16 OS with OriginOS 6 skin on top.
