Apple releases iOS 27, iPhone 11 Series and up gets the update

Apple begins rolling out iOS 27. Here are all the iPhones that support it.

Faster iOS now up

Apple has begun rolling out iOS 27 to users worldwide. The update introduces several notable changes, including updates to the Liquid Glass design language, app load times reported to be up to 30% faster, and overhauled search functionality in Spotlight, Photos, and Mail.

Siri on Camera

The release also brings a redesigned version of Siri powered by AI, though this feature is launching in beta and is currently limited to English. 

iOS 27 ecosystem

It will not be available in the European Union at launch. Apple says support for additional languages, including French, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, and Spanish, will follow in October.

Alongside iOS 27, Apple has also started distributing companion updates for its other platforms: iPadOS 27, macOS 27, watchOS 27, and visionOS 27.

As with past iOS releases, the rollout began at 10 a.m. PT, 1 p.m. ET,  5 p.m. UTC, with the update reaching millions of devices simultaneously. Below is a rundown of which iPhones are eligible to install it.

• iPhone 15 Pro, 15 Pro Max
• iPhone 14, 14 Plus, 14 Pro, 14 Pro Max
• iPhone 13, 13 mini, 13 Pro, 13 Pro Max
• iPhone 12, 12 mini, iPhone 12 Pro, 12 Pro Max
• iPhone 11, 11 Pro, 11 Pro Max
• iPhone SE 2020, 2022

Because the update is being pushed out to a large number of users at once, it may not appear immediately on every device. Users can check availability by going to Settings > General > Software Update.
