Apple finally reveals the highly anticipated iPhone 18 Pro model.

To start, the iPhone 18 Pro is available in four colors: Black, Glacier (a light blue shade), Silver, and Burgundy.
The previous Cosmic Orange option has been dropped, with Burgundy taking its place as the more attention-grabbing choice, while the remaining colors cater to buyers who prefer a subtler look.

On the design front, the iPhone 18 Pro retains its aluminium frame, a material choice Apple has kept for better thermal performance rather than reverting to titanium.
The device also continues to use a glass cutout for wireless charging rather than an all-glass back, retaining the two-tone color look of the Pro models.
Meanwhile, that rear glass panel is made from Apple's Ceramic Shield, while the front display is protected by Ceramic Shield 2.
In terms of display, the iPhone 18 Pro still features a 6.3-inch Super Retina XDR OLED screen with anti-reflective coating to provide users with color-accurate viewing while also offering privacy.
What changed is the smaller Dynamic Island for a wider viewing experience. Apple notes that it now supports up to three active apps running at once.
As expected, the iPhone 18 Pro moves to Apple's 2nm A20 Pro chip, succeeding the A19 Pro found in the iPhone 17 Pro.

Apple claims this brings a new benchmark in mobile computing by providing 50% more memory bandwidth than its predecessor. The 6-core chip also boasts an integrated neural accelerator to beat the competition, while the new 7-core GPU brings 40% faster speed than the A19 Pro.
Furthermore, its dual 16-core Neural Engine will accelerate on-device AI models and computational photography, an obvious 2x performance bump from the previous model.
RAM capacity has not been officially disclosed, but we will update this once we see it on the official site.
Storage options now include 256GB, 512GB, 1TB, and 2TB, marking the first time a 2TB configuration has been offered on the Pro model.
For cooling, Apple increased the size of the vapor chamber to provide users with better thermals either when gaming or during longer camera usage sessions.
Speaking of the camera, Apple finally brings the variable-aperture tech to the iPhones.
The main 48MP Fusion Main sensor moves from a fixed f/1.78 aperture last year to a new f/1.48-f/4.0 range, adjusting mechanically to allow for better low-light capture at wider settings and sharper, less overexposed results in bright conditions at narrower settings.
Apple has opted for a simpler system with four preset aperture levels, differing from the stepless variable aperture found on phones like the Xiaomi 14 Ultra, which allows finer control between settings.
While this tech is new for iPhones, variable aperture has been present on Android for years, like HUAWEI, HONOR, Xiaomi, and Samsung, which eventually dropped it due to size problems.
Anyway, the secondary camera is a 48MP f/2.2 ultra-wide sensor with AF and macro capability. The 3rd sensor is a 48MP tetraprism periscope zoom sensor with OIS, providing 4x telephoto output and up to 8x lossless quality.
Video and photography software also see additions. The camera can record 4K Dolby Vision footage at up to 120fps, and the Camera app now includes manual controls and a histogram display for the first time, alongside Photographic Styles that offer more distinct looks with added texture and grain control.
The Camera Control and Action buttons carry over from previous models, and the phone remains IP68-rated for water and dust resistance, with Apple stating it can withstand submersion up to 6 meters for as long as 30 minutes.
Connectivity features are WiFi 7, 5G, 4G, Bluetooth 6.0, GPS, and NFC.
Apple also introduces the C2 modem to bring faster uploads while being 15 percent more energy efficient than the C1X.
On the software side, the iPhone 18 Pro ships with iOS 27, though it does not include the multitasking features reserved for Apple's foldable iPhone.
Apple did not mention the number of years of updates. But we all know how long they support their iPhones, which usually takes several years before they drop support for them.
