New Home-focused products?

Apple Vice President of Worldwide Marketing Greg Joswiak has officially confirmed its upcoming special launch event scheduled for Tuesday, October 13, 2026.

The announcement aligns directly with industry rumors circulating since late September, confirming that Apple is turning its focus toward expanding and revamping its smart home ecosystem.

While Apple keeps its official product announcement under wraps until the presentation, reports point to the introduction of the Apple HomePad/HomeHub, HomePod Mini 2, and next-generation Apple TV 4K.

The alleged new HomePad is expected to arrive with a 6-inch square display in two variants. The first is a countertop or desk model with a built-in speaker and a metal arm holding the screen. The second variant is a wall-mounted model with a sleek, low-profile integration into smart home control panels.

The new HomePad will supposedly serve as a centralized home dashboard powered by next-generation on-device Siri AI to manage Matter/HomeKit accessories, control audio playback, and handle video calls.

The upcoming HomePod Mini 2 will reportedly come with an updated S-series processor, enabling enhanced on-device processing and machine learning tasks. It is expected to get improved acoustic tuning, ultra-wideband generation updates for precise proximity handoffs, and refined color options. Lastly, it will have deeper integration with Apple's redesigned Siri assistant.

Last up is the next-generation Apple TV 4K that follows the late 2022 update. This latest iteration is expected to get a faster Bionic chip and will feature better smart home and Siri AI integration.

Not much else is known about the upcoming products.
