TECNO said there was intentionally no single definition of the "CAMON woman." Among the participants was entrepreneur and single mother Joyce Concepcion Yumang, whose story centered on balancing a business with raising a family, and on the diskarte, or resourcefulness, she has developed to keep moving forward.
Advertising professional and solo working mother Ely Haig, a breadwinner and competitive padel player, shared a story about how motherhood does not require a woman to make herself smaller. For her, making life lighter means continuing to make room for her career, her daughter, and the parts of herself that remain her own.
Franchesca "Twinkle" Dimayuga Zamora turned her experience as a solo mother into community action and helped build MAMA, or Mothers Advocating through Ministry and Action. Her story presents "lighter" as the recognition that strength does not always mean doing everything alone.
Other participants included Aubrey Miles, Carlyn Ocampo, Fuschia Anne Ravena, Max Collins, and Megan Young. Their stories touched on reinvention, creativity, identity, and growth.
Burgundy Red as the styling thread

The styling was built around Burgundy Red, the CAMON SLIM 5G's hero color. All 15 looks used burgundy as a common element, with each interpreted differently for the wearer. Rather than identical gowns or a traditional pageant look, the designs drew on modern Filipina fashion, using structure, translucent fabrics, fluid draping, pleats, and movement.
Some silhouettes reflected discipline and structure, while others used softer layers to convey transition, vulnerability, or freedom. Details inspired by careers, passions, family histories, and personal turning points gave each look its own story.
An event designed like a magazine
The editorial concept extended beyond the runway. Guests moved through a series of spaces designed to resemble the pages of a magazine, including an Arrival Salon, portrait displays, product experience areas, and the main runway.
According to the event plan, each zone revealed another layer of the same story. The arrival area used modern Filipiniana elements and a hospitality-style setting instead of the visual clutter typical of smartphone launches.
TECNO describes the CAMON SLIM 5G as its new ultra-slim imaging flagship for the Philippines. It has a 6.39mm body and a 6,000mAh battery, along with a 50MP Sony LYTIA™ 700C main camera, Super-Zoom FlashSnap, and TECNO Universal Tone imaging. The company said the approach was meant to show that fashion and technology increasingly belong in the same conversation, since a phone is something people hold, wear, photograph with, and carry through much of their day.
Collaboration with Angélica Dass

The event also offered a first look at TECNO's collaboration with artist and photographer Angélica Dass. Portraiture was part of the launch experience, and in the event concept, photographed women connect individual portraits with the stories presented throughout the evening.
The Philippine chapter of the project will focus on working women, particularly working solo mothers and the people around them, through the lens of diskarte, the adaptability and resourcefulness with which women find their own way forward. Rather than framing these women only through difficulty or sacrifice, the project asks: Who are they beyond the labels placed on them? More from the collaboration will be revealed later in October.
Targeting Women with many roles
TECNO said the runway reflects the audience it wants the CAMON SLIM 5G to reach: Filipino women who hold several roles at once, such as professional, daughter or mother, creator, and friend, while keeping personal ambitions.
Furthermore, the launch presented different versions of that woman instead of a single ideal.
TECNO also said "Make It Lighter" is not about suggesting that life becomes simple, but about creating technology, design, and experiences that fit into lives that are already full.
