Vivo Forged Partnership With Smart, Provides FREE LTE SIM!

In-line with goal of providing the optimum smartphone experience for Filipino consumers, Vivo, a top 5 global smartphone brand inked a partnership with Smart, the country's leader in wireless communication.

Smart Communications, Inc. and Vivo Philippines executive hold up Vivo phones at the signing of their exclusive partnership.

In this tie-up, Smart will provide Vivo w/ FREE LTE prepaid SIM for Vivo handsets with 4G / LTE capability. It'll include a FREE 100 MB data per month upon SIM activation and an additional 300 MB reward for every PHP 150 worth of load within a month.

“As part of our aggressive roll-out of our LTE network across the country, we are excited to work with top smartphone manufacturers like Vivo to bring more LTE-capable devices into the local market,” said Patrick Tang, vice president and head for Smart Postpaid Brand and Device Management. 

“LTE gives the best mobile data experience to our customers, and more LTE devices in the market means that more people will be able to take advantage of and enjoy the powerful LTE network that Smart is putting in place,” he added. 

“The high-quality features of Vivo mobile phones, combined with Smart’s exclusive promos, and speedy and reliable services, ensure a greatly enhanced smartphone experience for Filipino customers,” she added.

Also present during the signing event were Annie Lim, Vivo brand director; Miriam Choa, Prepaid marketing head; and Gerard Milan, Smart Prepaid brand marketing head.

In relation, Vivo has been very strong in the country recently. There are store openings left and right and people are flocking their kiosk / stores for Vivo smartphones. The company has recently released the V5, V5 Plus, V5 Lite, and Y53 photography / selfie focused devices which targets entry-mid to upper-mid classes.
