Nokia 9 and Nokia 8 (2018) to launch on January 19?

After several leaks and rumors, there are new reports that HMD Global will hold an event in China on January 19 to reveal the next generation Android smartphones.

Based on new reports by NDTV, HMD Global will unleash the Nokia 8 (2018) and the much hyped Nokia 9 flagship smartphone.

If we were to believe rumors, the Nokia 9 will come w/ a 5.5-inch QHD curved screen, Snapdragon 835 chip, 6GB RAM, 64 / 128GB storage, USB Type-C port, dual camera setup, fingerprint scanner behind, and Android Oreo out of the box. Nokia 9's price could start at CNY 3,699 (around PHP 28K).

The new Nokia 8 is expected to come w/ Snapdraogn 835 chip, Oreo OS, and better camera features.

There are also reports that both the Nokia 8 (2018) and Nokia 9 will have a customized experience for the Chinese market which may not have Google services by default.

As of this writing, the protective case of the alleged Nokia 9 is already listed at several online sites including Amazon. It could be an indicator that the said device will be available very soon.
