OPPO A75 and A75s with 18:9 screen and face unlock tech now official

Chinese smartphone maker OPPO silently released two new mid-range grade smartphones with 18:9 screens on their Taiwanese website, the OPPO A75 and OPPO A75s.

Both OPPO A75 and A75s features identical specs and features except for the storage part. The OPPO A75 only has 32GB of built-in storage while the OPPO A75s has bigger 64GB internal storage. Both are expandable via dedicated microSD card slot up to 256GB.

Both phones arrived with 6-inch screens, 64-bit Helio P23 octa-core processor, Mali-G71MP2 GPU, 4GB RAM, 3,090mAh battery capacity, 16MP f/1.8 main camera, 20MP f/2.0 selfie camera, fingerprint scanner behind, WiFi, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, A-GPS, OTG, and dual SIM card slots.

Moreover, it has OPPO's A.I. Facial Recognition technology for added security.

The handset also light sensor, distance sensor, gravity sensor and electronic compass. It booths on the Android 7.1 Nougat OS out of the box with ColorOS 3.2 skin on top.

The phone measures 156.5 x 76 x 7.5 mm and weights 152 grams. They'll be available in champagne and black color options too.

There's no word yet when it will be available though. But, the A75 is priced at NT 10,990 (around PHP 18.3K) while the A75s is priced at NT 11,990 (around PHP 20K).

Here in the Philippines, we have the OPPO F5 packed with identical specs, but bigger 3,200mAh battery for just PHP 14,990.
