Kata Box Coming Soon, A Should Be Affordable Media Box!

Kata Philippines is bringing in an interesting device to the Philippine shores soon with a twist. Unlike what they normally release, it won't be a smartphone this time. Instead Kata will be treating the masses with a Smart TV Box ala Apple TV on Android.

This will let you stream a lot of content in the internet from movies, apps and music. The Kata Box should also be capable of connecting your smartphone directly to a television. It runs on 1.5 GHz Amlogic S805 quad core processor, Mali 450 GPU, has 1 GB of RAM and 8 GB of expandable ROM that runs on Android 4.4 Kitkat. It also has WiFi connectivitu, Lan Port, 2 USB Type A, 1 HDMI 1.4, RJ 45, LAN port and DC-IN jack.

The picture suggest also suggest that the Kata Box will also come with its own Game Controller. Lastly based on the report of PinoyTechStyle, the Kata Box is also compatible with keyboard and mouse.

What's missing in the information now is the pricing and availability. Given that specifications this should not go beyond 6,000 Pesos.
