Build Quality / Design

Though the build and look isn't as flashy and edgy as the P8000 and S1, the Elephone P9000 still manage to pull it off nicely. Boasting an aluminum like metal chassis on the sides, sandstone textured semi rounded plastic back for better grip and Gorilla glass protection in front, rest is assured that this should be a fairly durable device when you take care of it properly.

Going to the design, it's beautiful without the need of being flashy. For me it's a minimalist phone designed to blend very well with its powerful specs. What I liked here the most is it is slim and surprisingly light and has a very narrow bezel that maximize the screen at 1.6 mm.

Ergonomically, the power button and volume rocker is found on a standard location at the right. There's also an Elephone smart key that can could be a camera shutter button. The fingerprint scanner at the back was easy to locate as well.

To sum it up, the Elephone P9000 is aesthetically great.

Specs and features analysis

Everything that Elephone did with this hand excites me for the price. Imagine, you don't need to shell top money to get this type of specs anymore. It boast a beautiful LG LTPS OGS screen at full HD that has fantastic viewing experience, rocks the powerful 2.0 GHz 64 Bit Helio P10 octa core processor paired with Mali T860 GPU and 4 GB RAM for your heavy gaming and usage.

It also has 3,000 mAh of battery, a pretty high quality 13 MP Sony IMX258 sensor w/ laser AF and dual tone LED flash which should be great enough for your mobile photography features.

The 8 MP selfie camera OV8858 lens also has a wide angle feature that can even let you put several people for your groufies. It's also complete with connectivity features such as NFC, LTE and uses the newer USB Type C tech which will be the new standard soon.

While we weren't able to test its fingerprint sensor, we expect it to be on par or better than the one found with the low end S1.

What I like the most here is its using a near stock Android skin on Marshmallow OS that feels very fluid and familiar to use.

Overall, we think that this phone can do and run any task you throw at it with good smoothness due to the above mentioned powerful internals.

As of the moment

This is probably one of the bang per buckest phones that we've ever encountered this year yet. Given all those positive traits and powerful specs, this has the potential to be a HUGE HUGE hit. Initially, we're satisfied with what we saw with this phone.

Hopefully, we can do a full review to further analyze and see if its worth all the hype.
