CommunicAsia2017 is Asia's largest industry event for the ICT industry. It'll showcase the best and tackle topics on mobile Internet, IoT, cloud technology, 3D printing and advanced robotics. There will be 1,700 exhibitors from 58 countries and 38 international pavilions.

The event will also showcase BroadcastAsia2017 that will present an ecosystem of the latest end-to-end solutions as Asian broadcasters begin to transition to IP (Internet protocol) based systems, storytelling in VR gains traction, and OTT becomes mainstream. The event will happen this May 23 to 25, 2017 in Singapore.

The Philippines pavilion will house 10 Philippine companies, from startups to large corporations. They'll come in the information technology and business process management (IT-BPM), telecommunications, financial and transportation industries.

The best of what the country has to offer will include start-ups Taxumo and FAME Aviation App that simplifies financial transactions and make air, sea and land transportation safer. Also, Advanced World Systems, Alliance Software, Inc., Exist Software Labs, Inc., PLDT Enterprise, Red Core Solutions, Sutherland Global Services, THINKBIT Solutions and Xurpas Enterprise, Inc. will be promoting their latest products and service offerings in the said event.

“The DICT has been actively working with different stakeholders to address the efficiency and speed of telecommunication services in the country while promoting the products and services that our local ICT and IT-BPM companies have to offer. The Philippines Pavilion at CommunicAsia2017 is a great opportunity for our companies to showcase their services and solutions to potential partners, clients and investors in the region and beyond. We are optimistic that our presence in this event will contribute to the success of the exhibitors’ businesses that, in return, will help drive the growth of the Philippine economy,” Usec. Monchito Ibrahim of the DICT said.

In addition, the DICT will also be hosting a half-day seminar, on May 24 from 2:00 PM to 4:30 PM at Level Four, Marina Bay Sands, called ‘Philippines Connect’, which is aimed at addressing the upcoming changes and opportunities in the Philippine ICT industry.

Moreover, CommunicAsia2017 summit will also feature speakers and moderators from the Philippines which includes PLDT Chief Technology and Information Advisor, Joachim Horn and NSR Research Director, Jose Del Rosario.

The BroadcastAsia2017 will highlight ABS-CBN Customer Relationship Management Division Head, Richmond Ezer Escolar speak at the conference and Filipino director Pedring Lopez will also talk about his latest movie Entity (Nilalang), at the Post Production Hub.
