State of LTE

According to OpenSignal, the Philippines ranked 71st in terms of download connection speeds and 72nd in terms of service reliability out of the 75 countries globally.

The Philippines only has a combined average download speed of just 8,59 Mbps and an accessibility rate of just 52.77%. It means that people can only access internet only half the time on that "slow" connection.

In comparison, the top 15 countries in OpenSignal's study are able to provide 30 Mbps and above with just a low downtime of just 20%.

OpenSignal's analysis is based on data gathered from over 500,000 devices around the world between January 1 and March 31 this year.

On the lighter side of things, Philippine situation was a bit better compared last year. From 75th place in download speed and 74th place in terms of service reliability out of 78 other countries last July 1 to September 30, 2016.
