Screen Real Estate

With the information age in full swing where we have massive numbers of information sources, multitasking has become standard where you are working on a project like documents, spreadsheets or visual media editing in one display and your communication feed like email and social media on the other, having one large screen to fit them all could save a lot of space on your desk and a lot of time from switching one tab to the other. (Shout out to the Alt+Tab masters out there)

When we started incorporating videos in our articles, the footage was in 1080p so if we didn't have resolutions higher than FHD, we would see the footage in our timeline scaled down which is fine but it takes time switching from 50% to 100%. Having the extra real estates means you get to see the footage at the native 1080p resolution while having the video editing application interface in view as well.

Curvature Radius

One other factor that most consumers are not aware of is the radius of the curvature of  of the monitor with a larger radius giving a more immersive view and feeling. This radius is designated by the 'R' and usually curved monitors come in two radiuses: 1800R and 3000R.

After weighing all the above factors, it is time to check your budget. Which of the above factor is the most important to you and justifies your investment? Whatever you decide, now is the time to jump from a flat one to be surrounded. Trust us, once you have gone curved, you will never go flat again.
