Even with the lack of dual cameras, Vivo did it. The company has just announced that the latest update for the V5s will add a bokeh mode feature to your phone.

Bokeh mode for Vivo V5s |
According to Vivo, the new bokeh mode for the Vivo V5s is designed to bring new possibilities for amazing selfies. It can capture DSLR inspired portraits with artistic background blurring via software.
We can also expect this to partly mimic shallow depth of field effect found on the higher-end Vivo V5s with dual front cameras.
All you need to do is connect to the internet, make sure you have enough battery capacity, and download the update found in the settings of your phone.
