Counterpoint: Top 10 Most Popular Smartphones In The World (July 2017)

Counterpoint, a global research firm specializing in technology products has just released their data of the top 10 best selling smartphones last July of 2017.

It was dominated by smartphones coming from the top global brands including: Apple, Samsung, OPPO, and Xiaomi for a total of 20.5 out of 100 percent. Samsung has 4, Apple has 3, OPPO has 2, and Xiaomi has 1.

1. Apple iPhone 7 - 4.0%

2. Apple iPhone 7 Plus - 2.9%

3. OPPO R11 - 2.1 %

4. OPPO A57 - 2.0 %

5. Samsung Galaxy S8 - 1.8%

6. Xiaomi Redmi Note 4X - 1.8%

7. Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus - 1.7%

8. Apple iPhone 6 - 1.6%

9. Samsung Galaxy J7 Prime - 1.4%

10. Samsung Galaxy A5 (2017) - 1.2%

Commenting on the best-selling models in the month of July, Senior Analyst, Pavel Naiya highlighted, Apple continued to drive its flagship momentum with iPhone 7 & 7 Plus; still the world’s best-selling models. OPPO has been one of the fastest growing brands globally thanks to the popularity of models including the flagship OPPO R11 and the mid-tier OPPO A57 that captured third and fourth spots respectively. These were followed by Samsung’s flagship Galaxy S8, Xiaomi Redmi Note 4X and Samsung Galaxy S8+. Apple's 32GB refresh of the venerable iPhone 6 enabled it to regain momentum during the month, with popularity across prepaid markets to edge out Samsung's Galaxy J7.

On the other news, Counterpoint also stated that Huawei has surpassed Apple as the world's number 2 smartphone vendor last June and July of 2017.
