Acer Helios 300 and Helios 500

Now they are going to release to new members of the Helios family. One is a special edition of the Helios 300 and the other one is the all-new Helios 500.

The Acer Helios 300 special edition will have a 15.6-inch 144Hz 1080p display. It will housing an 8th Gen Core i7+ processor, Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060 with Acer's Dual Aeroblade 3D cooling system to ensure great thermal management during long gaming sessions. The special edition will come out in an elegant White and Gold color. It will be accompanied with a pair of Acer Gaming Headset, mouse and backpack in the same color scheme.

The Acer Helios 500, on the other hand, is a beast on paper. It has 2 17.3-inch versions which is the 4K display version or the 1080p 144Hz version. Both versions come with Nvidia's G-Sync technology. It can be configured with a hexa-core Core i9+8950HK processor, an 8GB Nvidia GeForce GTX 1070 GPU, up to a maximum of 64GB of RAM. It will also come with Acer's Dual Aeroblade 3D cooling system for cooling that Core i9 processor.

Prices and launch dates are yet to be announced.

Acer announed two new 13-inch Chromebooks. These are the Chromebook 13 and Chromebook Spin 13. Both models will have a FHD+ 2256 x 1504 13.5-inch display with a 3:2 aspect ratio. They are also going to be powered by 8th Gen Intel Core processors for performance and battery life.

First off, the Chromebook Spin 13 is a 2-in-1 device with 360-degree hinges allowing it to be used as a tablet. It comes with a Wacom stylus for pen input during tablet mode and it has a dedicated dock as well. The Chromebook 13 opted for the traditional laptop layout that is more keyboard and mouse oriented.

In terms of design the Chromebook 13 and Spin 13 has an all-aluminum chassis that is both sturdy and stylish. It has some diamond-cut effects on the edges and surrounding the touchpad which works well with matte aluminum. The touch is protected with Corning Gorilla Glass and promises smooth usage.

The new Chromebooks will have USB 3.1 Type-C ports on each side for charging the Chromebook and data transfers as well. They will also have the regular USB 3.0 ports and a MicroSD card readers.

2X2 MIMO WiFi will provide fast wireless internet connections while the Bluetooth 4.2 can sustain stable and reliable connections between the Chromebooks and other Bluetooth peripherals.

The new Chromebooks will run Chrome OS and will support Android Apps via Google Play Store.

The Acer Chromebook 15 is a bigger yet budget-friendly version of the Chromebook. The Chromebook Spin 15 will have a 15.6-inch display that has 360-degree hinges that allows for the traditional laptop mode, tablet mode, tent mode and display mode. It has a resolution of 1920 x 1080 and has 10 points of touch.

The Spin 15 also gets two full sized upwards facing speakers. When you are watching movies and videos the audio will be clearer and louder since it is blasted towards you. You can also enjoy using the Spin 15 longer since it promises up to 14 hours of battery life.

The larger size of the Spin 15 gives it space to accommodate a full-sized keyboard and a large Corning Gorilla Glass touchpad. It focuses its design on looking stylish while maintaining functionality.

The Chromebook Spin 15 will be running either an Intel Pentium N4200 quad core processor, Intel Celeron N3450 processor or a dual core Intel Celeron N3350 processor. It will also have 2 versions in terms of RAM with either 4GB or 8GB of LPDDR4 memory and a 32GB or 64GB eMMC on-board storage.

It has 2x2 MIMO WiFi, Bluetooth 4.2, 720p HD webcam, 2 X USB 3.1 Type-C ports, 2 x USB 3.0 ports and microSD card reader.

Acer created the Nitro 50 desktop series with the goal of providing gamers with power and features only a desktop PC can produce. 

The Nitro 50 desktops will be powered by 8th Gen Intel Core processors up to Core i7. In terms of GPU, you can max this out up to an Nvidia GeForce GTX 1070 to produce crisp and immersive graphics quality. It promises to deliver up to 4K of smooth gaming performance.

It will have up to 3TB of HDD with a 512 boot up SSD. It will also have a wireless charging deck to help users with devices the support Qi Wireless charging. The design of the case is armor-inspired with front-facing red LED lights. For network connectivity, it will have the Realtek Dragon Lan.

Nitro VG0 and RG0 Monitors

To accompany the power of the Nitro 50 desktops, Acer is also unleashing the Nitro VG0 and RG0 monitors.

These are new IPS monitors that uses AMD Radeon FreeSync for a smooth and fast refresh rate. It can boost the input response to up to 1ms faster due to the Visual Response boost.

The Acer Nitro VG0 will be available in 27-inch, 23.8-inch and 21.5-inch panels that can deliver true-to-life color. Resolutions will vary from 4K UHD, WQHD and Full HD.

The Nitro RG0 series will have a thinner profile and will be offered at 27-inches and 23.8-inches. The VG0 will have up to 144Hz of refresh rates while the RG0 will have up to 75Hz.

In terms of ports, it will have HDMI, VGA and Display ports. There are also 2 stereo speakers as well. They will also have different display modes such as Action, Race, Sport, User, Standard, ECO, Graphic and Movie.

The Acer Swift 5 values portability and it shows since they say that it is a full featured laptop that is less than 1 KG.

The Swift 5 has a 15-inch Full HD IPS display that only has 5.87mm of bezels. That is a 87.6% screen to body ratio. It also has the Acer Color Intelligence technology that dynamically adjusts gamma and saturation in real time.

The build of the Swift 5 is made out light advanced materials including the ultra-light magnesium-lithium allow for the top and bottom covers and magnesium-aluminum alloys for extra sturdiness on the palm rest area. It also has backlit LED keyboard.

It is powered by the latest Intel Core processors so that it can be powerful and power efficient at the same time. It will have up to 1TB of SSD storage and up to 16GB of DDR4 memory. It will have a USB 3.1 Type C port, 2 x 3.1 USB Type-A ports, HDMI ports and an SD card reader.

It will also run Windows 10 with Windows Hello support for the fingerprint reader.

This is Acer's Predator Orion line of gaming desktops. This line combines style and performance with the latest and greatest they can fit into these gaming beasts.

The Predator Orion 5000 gaming desktops will feature up to 8th Gen Intel Core i7+ 8700K processors paired with the latesr Inrel Z370 chipset. It will also support SLI for up to 2-way Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080 TI GPUs. It will also support up to 32Gb of Intel Optane memory for fast load times and response.

It shows off it's core by having a transparent side panel. It also features easy to open side panels for easy maintenance and access. It also features IceTunnel 2.0 airflow thermal management system that the components remain as cool as possible.

The Predator Orion 3000 series will have up to 8th Gen Intel Core i7+ processors, can support up to Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080 GPUs. Vr-support and supports up to 4K gameplay resolution. It can also support up to 32GB of Intel Optane Memory and up to 64GB DDR4 2666Hz RAM.

It shares the transparent side panel that shows off the RGB lighting and internals of the desktop unit.
