Google Lens will be available to Android's camera app!

Few months back, we reported that the Google Lens is now available on Google Photos in Android. Today at the I/O, Google revealed that the Lens will be available in your camera app too!

New and improved Google Lens

Google announced that it will be available on supported devices from LG, Motorola, Xiaomi, Sony, Nokia, Transsion, TCL, OnePlus, BQ, and ASUS, and the Pixel phones.

The Lens can recognize images, texts, and can be used to scan  business cards and store the person's information in your phone's contact list.

It also now has Smart text selection which allows users to copy and paste text from the real word, WiFi passwords, and etc. to your phone. 

It can even name the dish you don't recognize and has a Style match feature to get info on a specific outfit or home decor item that catches your eye. You can even see reviews and recommendations.

Lastly, the Lens now works real time. These new features will be available in the next few weeks.
