XDA Developers just claimed that they were able to recreate renders of the upcoming Huawei Mate 20 based on photographs of the original device.

XDA even claimed that they verified the authenticity of the source based on details that led them to discover the firmware files few weeks back.

Anyway, by the looks of it, the alleged Mate 20 render will feature a metal and glass design, a new triple camera layout at the back, and a much slimmer notch than ever.

The small notch design is a bit similar to what Essential Phone did with PH-1. It is also the new notch trend that OPPO and Vivo followed with the F9 and V11.

It will also have a secondary speaker above the notch.

The new camera layout of the device is now in the middle. It contain the triple cameras and a the flash.

According to XDA, the Mate 20 has the "Hima" code name. It will come with a 6.3-inch AMOLED screen, Kirin 980 SoC, 6GB RAM/128GB ROM variant, and 4,200mAh battery capacity with wireless charging.

The Mate 20 will also come with Android 9 Pie OS w/ EMUI 9 skin on the top. It could also come with a 3.5 mm headphone jack.

Huawei could make the Kirin 980 available this October of 2018. The Mate 20 could go official by Q4 2018.

For now, let's take this rumor with a pinch of salt until anything official is disclosed.
