Speed Magazine's Geek Wars brought fun at SM Cybermonth kick-off event!

Speed Magazine's Geek Wars 2018 gathered representatives from various tech media outfits to battle for this year's championship.

The tech magazine has organized three teams of the tech media to test their speed, skills, and mental acuity. There were three games that the teams competed for the title 'Geekiest'.

First game is called "Power Tower" wherein the tech media players were tasked to build a tower out of the lug nuts using only a chopstick. The Team A won in this round.

The next game tested the players' speed and mental acuity under the "Trivia game with a Tech twist." Players used MSI gaming laptops and an app called 'Kahoot!' The questions were about the Big Bang Theory, technology, and geek culture. Both the Team A and B topped this round.

Last game was called "Act-choo!". It is a charades game under 1 minute of acts for 10 words to act out. The set of words included popular pop songs, superheroes and villains, and classic movies. Well, the Team C aced this game!

Team A was hailed as the Grand Champion going home with PHP 11,700 worth of products. The Team B placed first runner-up with PHP 8,800 worth of prizes and Team C as the second runner-up with PHP 5,300 worth of package.
