Community Help feature is now available on Facebook Lite

As part of the crisis response feature on Facebook, the Community Help feature is now available with their Lite app to improve connections during calamities.

Community Help is now part of Facebook Lite app

Facebook Lite is suitable in times of calamities where connectivity is low or limited. It uses less resources which is ideal during a crisis. Having the Community Help feature in it will make finding or providing help during this times more accessible even in limited connectivity.

The feature is currently available in over 100 countries enabling people to find and give help such as food, shelter, and transportation after natural calamities such as typhoons and earthquakes. This way people can help individuals and even communities altogether.

Facebook Lite uses less data, installs faster and load faster too. It is even suitable for lower-end devices as well.

The Community Help feature is a follow up after the successful addition of Safety Check to Facebook Lite earlier this year.
