When Miss Universe 2018 Pia Wurtzbach joined the Huawei family to be the Huawei ambassador in the Philippines, she also took the challenge of showing the beauty of the Philippines and its culture through the lens of her Huawei devices. This opens the ability of the Filipinos to share their own photos through Huawei devices.

One of the participants in the Huawei NEXT-IMAGE photo exhibit is a finalist of the global NEXT-IMAGE competition, Philip Am Guay. He is an operations supervisor by profession and a mobile photographer by passion. He had two entries for the competition entitled "Manong Ebren" and "Butanding" that were part of the Top 30 finalists out of 10,431 entries.

Philip has been using different Huawei devices since 2017 from the Huawei P9, P10, Mate 10 and the P20 Pro. He even started a mobile photography group called the Cebu Mobile Shutterbug. He believes that Huawei devices made his hobby of photography produce amazing photos.

He draws inspiration from the environment he is in. He is into street and documentary photography. He wants to share the Filipino culture by incorporating landmarks, practices, traditions, daily life and iconic Philippine items.

The NEXT-IMAGE campaign started on June of this year. There were a total of 10,431 entries from 3,378 attendees that came from the Philippines making it the second highest number of entries overseas.

Throughout September, there will be displays of the Photo Exhibit in SM Aura from September 14 to September 20 and in Glorietta Activity Center from September 21 to September 23.
