Screen unlock of OnePlus 6T |
According to the report of CNET, OnePlus stated that by adding the In-Display fingerprint scanning solution will save users the extra step of pickup up their phones to unlock their screens.
We unlock our phones multiple times a day, and Screen Unlock reduces the number of steps to complete the action, said OnePlus in an email to CNET. By adding this feature as an addition to other display unlocking options such as Face Unlock, users will have options to unlock the display in a way that is most efficient for them.
It also means that the OnePlus 6T is the first device of the company to have that new and cool unlocking technology.

Originally, OnePlus planned to add this solution with the OnePlus 5T. However, the technology wasn't mature enough to meet their standards during that time. So, they delayed it for the OnePlus 6T.
Currently, this tech is starting to become popular with Vivo smartphones like the V11, X20 Plus UD, X21, X23, NEX A, and NEX S. Huawei also has it with the high-end Mate RS.
According to OnePlus, the 6T will have a slightly tweaked design versus its predecessor. It will now have a more unibody look and it will be slightly thicker by 0.45 mm. They also rearranged the internal hardware of the device.
Rumors also speculate that the device could have a triple rear camera setup like the OPPO R17 Pro.
The 6T will be available on T-Mobile, a Chinese phone sold by a US carrier. It will also be the first in the US with the In-Display fingerprint tech.
It could also have a USD 550 (PHP 29.6K) price tag.
