vivo slipped to number 2 with 11.8 million units shipped, equivalent to a negative 10 percent annual growth. OPPO (including OnePlus) is close at number 3 with 10.7 million units or 17 percent of the market share, followed by Xiaomi with 10.4 percent and Apple at 10.1 percent.

Xiaomi reportedly had eight consecutive quarters of annual growth.

Canalys said that during the quarter, HUAWEI launched the nova 14 Series, the first nova lineup with HarmonyOS 5.0. The said move is expected to accelerate the expansion of its independent ecosystem’s user base, while also placing greater demands on system compatibility and user experience.

Meanwhile, vivo launched new models across its X200, S30, and Y300 Series. Xiaomi unveiled its in-house chipset XRing O1 in May for the Xiaomi 15s Pro and Pad 7 Ultra.

HONOR is not in the top 5 this time, but the report said that it is focusing on revitalizing growth through competitive mid-range offerings.
