This past weekend the Iloilo leg of the DOTA 2 qualifiers took place as well as the CDO and Davao legs of the Tekken 7 tourney. There were familiar faces and renewed rivalries that clawed their way to victory.

TaskUS Titans won the Iloilo Dota 2 championship at the game's qualifiers. They were a veteran of the tournament as they went under a name change from the Cebu champs, Polar Ace, to now the Iloilo champs, TaskUs Titans. The name change came when TaskUs offered them sponsorship.

As per tournament rules, a tea, cannot field new members nor change their roster mid-series. Therefore, it forced TaskUs Titans to re-join a tournament leg in order to qualifyfor the finals at ESGS 2018. They triumphed over Iloilo's hometown favorites, Lavel21.

For the Tekken 7 scene, familiar faces emerged as they fought for redemption at the Davao leg of the tourney. Xavier Giovanni "Gio" Galon went on to join the Davao leg and vie the spot at the Road to the Nationals 2018. He already tried at the Cebu leg but faced a wall named Francis Steven Valencia "UFTC - Gogoy" Cabahug.

At the Davao leg, he faced Jade "ArkAngel - Jaynine" Yasay. Jaynine had a similar journey and had to go through Gio for a spot the Nationals. Jaynine was able to win against Gio to face John Groover "G-Clef" Sy who has a twice to beat advantage. G-Clef also put Jaynine in the loser's bracket putting more story in their rematch. In the end, Jaynine won the Davao leg to represent them in the Nationals.

Meanwhile, at the CDO Tekken tourney, two veterans fought with Raymund Jay "LimitBreak" Sarte and Neil Kenneth Uy "Wong" Tan. LimitBreak introduced Wong to Tekken 7 putting history into this rivalry. LimitBreak won against Wing to win the CDO leg.

The Iloilo leg is also going to be shown on ESPN5 on October 7 at 10:30PM with the first all-female shoutcasting duo of Lhea "Yasumeow" Pelaez and Rain Manaig.
