ASUS updates ZenFone 5Z to Android Pie in Taiwan

ASUS just started rolling the Android Pie update for the ZenFone 5Z in Taiwan. It is a month ahead of their late January 2019 promise.

According to details on ZenTalk forum, the update with the 90.10.138.157 build number is available for the ASUS ZenFone 5Z (ZS620KL).

The said device will receive the latest version of Android, system optimizations, latest security patch, and speed ​​up to enter continuous shooting.

ASUS stated that it takes about one week for the system to complete the automatic update push. If you have the Taiwanese variant of the ZenFone 5Z and you do not have the update yet, just go to the settings of your device to manually update.

To those who missed it, the ASUS ZenFone 5Z is the company's flagship for 2018. It is one the cheapest with Snapdragon 845 octa-core SoC in town. It is priced at PHP 29,995 in the Philippines.

Since the update is already available in Taiwan, we can expect ASUS to gradually roll it out to the rest of their market in 2019.
