Lenovo has partnered with AMD to develop processors for the company's ever-increasing demands from the company's consumer, commercial and enterprise customers.

AMD released the Ryzen multi-core set-up processors in 2017 that featured two ore more cores in a single chip with simultaneous multithreading where the processors splits each of its physical cores into virtual cores known as threads. This improves performance and allows each core to run two instruction streams at once.
