Viber seems to be getting on the dark mode trend as they tease a new feature coming soon with a recent tweet that they posted.

Dark Mode is a feature that people clamor for with popular apps such as YouTube, Messenger and now, Viber, seems to have one in the works. Dark Mode, as the name implies, darkens the UI of a said application or website. Twitter has their dedicated night mode as well as YouTube's Dark Mode. It is popular as it allows night owls to enjoy their time browsing or chatting even at night. A white UI can be blinding when you are in a dark room. 

A release date is not announced. Viber is fairly vague about when soon is, pertaining to their tweet "Coming Soon". They did confirm via their replies to users that the setting will be rolled out to upcoming versions of the app. They also hinted that future updates may even include a setting to allow users to customize their theme.

Viber has been one of the more popular instant messaging apps in the Philippines. It was first released in 2010 for the iOS and made its Android debut two years later in 2012. It is available for download for free from the App Store for iOS and the Google Play Store for Android.
