To support this statement, Epson stated three main reasons why you should use Business Inkjet Printers with RIPS. RIPS is a technology designed to provide ease of use for cartridge-based system combined with high volume printing of an ink tank printer.

1. High Productivity - For business with huge printing loads, speed and page yield is very improtant. With RIPS. printing is faster and convenient since it has a far higher volume of ink compared to traditional cartridges. In comparison, a regular inkjet printer cam produce 8 rto 10 pages per minute while one with RIPS can produce up to 100 pages per minute and print more than 75,000 pages before timing out.

EPSON Workforce Pro WF-C869R with RIPS can print up to 86,000 pages in black and 84,000 pages in color without interruption. The PrecisionCore technology it has allows it to work out of the gate with no need of warm-up time with default speeds of up to 24 impressions per minute and draft speeds of 35 pages per minute.

Each unit can be scaled up to load up to 1,835 sheets.

2. Scalability - Epson's Business Inkjet printers with RIPS are designed to tackle complex paper-handling demands of businesses. These can handle different paper sizes and types with no problem.

Epson RIPS printers can be upgraded to include more paper cassettes. For instance, WorkForce Pro WF-C869R comes with a rear feed slot, which can handle up to 85 sheets, as well as two cassettes, which can handle 250 and 500 sheets, respectively. Each unit can be scaled up to load up to 1,835 sheets.

Ink refills are supplied in soft foil packs which can be easily recycled compared.

3. Cost-efficiency - For businesses, costs efficiency is very important. Epson RIPS printers can operate for less and produces lower wastage. For one, ink refills are supplied in soft foil packs which can be easily recycled compared to ink cartridges that needs proper and organized disposal. These printers also don't have heating elements and consumes less energy than laser printers.
