To recap, this marks the brand's first entry into the gimbal camera category. The device combines professional-grade imaging, intelligent stabilization, and AI-powered creative tools in a compact, portable design, and it's now available through Insta360's growing retail network across the country.

Co-engineered with Leica, the Luna Ultra pairs Insta360's imaging expertise with Leica's longstanding optical heritage, resulting in a tool aimed at creators, filmmakers, and storytellers who want professional-quality content without the bulk and complexity of traditional camera setups.

Local availability set to reach 50 stores by year-end

The Luna Ultra's launch comes as Insta360 Philippines continues to build out its retail and customer support presence nationwide. 

After expanding to more than 30 authorized retail locations in 2025, the company is now targeting 50 stores across the Philippines by the end of 2026, putting Insta360 products within easier reach of creators and everyday consumers in key regions around the country.

The push for wider availability is part of a broader effort by Insta360 Philippines to improve the overall customer experience, not just through expanded retail access, but also through educational programs, community engagement initiatives, and stronger after-sales support.

Professional Imaging, Co-engineered with Leica

At the core of the Luna Ultra is a dual-camera system developed together with Leica, pairing a Leica Summicron wide lens with a dedicated telephoto lens for added creative flexibility. Dual imaging chips and a 4nm AI chip work together to deliver sharper image processing, smarter scene optimization, and consistent image quality across varied shooting conditions.

Its 1-inch sensor captures 8K video and high-resolution photos with strong detail, dynamic range, and color accuracy. The dedicated telephoto system adds up to 12x zoom, including 6x lossless zoom, letting creators get closer to distant subjects without sacrificing image quality.

The camera also supports 8K30fps recording, Dolby Vision, 10-bit I-Log, and Leica color profiles, giving both casual creators and professional storytellers more room to shape their footage.

Intelligent Capture, Built for Creators

The Luna Ultra is built around a compact 3-axis stabilized gimbal system, designed to deliver smooth, professional-looking footage in a lightweight body suited for daily use.

An industry-first detachable 2-inch OLED touchscreen allows for remote monitoring and control, while the DeepTrack 5.0 system uses AI-powered tracking to keep subjects framed accurately. Paired with PureVideo low-light technology and AI-assisted editing tools, the camera is designed to let creators spend less time fiddling with settings and more time focused on storytelling.
