With its latest update, Facebook Messenger got a Quote Reply feature that allows you to quote and reply to a specific message in a conversation.

Facebook Messenger now has a Quote Reply feature |
No more misdirected replies
It is a common problem during Facebook chats when you try to reply on a particular message but the other person keeps on sending more before you could press send. Then it leads to miscommunication and misunderstandings.
For instance, someone sent a funny joke in your group chat and you intended to reply LOL but another person shared some bad experience before you can send it. It will look like you laughed at that person's problem. That is bad.
Facebook finally remedied that with the Quote Reply feature. With this feature, you can choose a particular message to reply on and have it quoted on top of your reply. Here is how you can do it:
|
Click that arrow beside the Reaction Emojis |
1. Press and hold the message that you want to reply on. Wait for the Reaction Emojis to pop up.
|
This is how it looks like after you reply |
2. Press the Reply arrow beside it. Type your reply as normal and press send.
It is as simple as that. It is a pretty simple update but it is a big one. No more miscommunication. No more misunderstanding. Come to think of it, this is useful during LQs. We need to put that to the test. Kidding aside, this particularly useful for group chats.
What do you guys think?
