FREE Google Station: Smart WiFi internet connection spotted at MRT Shaw!

Google and PLDT have recently partnered to provide FREE internet access in the Philippines. Today, we spotted one of their very first stations at MRT Shaw.

Google Station: Smart WiFi now live!

According to Google and PLDT, the WiFi station promises to provide users with FREE and fast internet connection. To be exact, they noted that the stations would be powered by carrier-grade connectivity.

Simply find Free Google Station: Smart WiFi on your smartphone's WiFi connection list!

Based on my personal experience, Google Station: Smart WiFi is easy to use. All you need to do is connect and register and you are good to go. I achieved speeds of 18Mbps of using the FAST app.

The public can use the internet for 30 minutes. When you use up the 30 minutes, you can register again for another 30 minutes.

We also noticed that the WiFi connection reaches until SM Megamall!

As of writing, Google Station: Smart WiFi are available across the MRT stations and NAIA.

More stations will be deployed allover the country in the next few months.
