PLDT launched a new blockchain-based module data trading service in Hong Kong where OFWs can buy load to contact their families and friends.

PLDT's new mobile data trading service

The blockchain-based mobile data trading service is a joint project by DENT Wireless Limited and PLDT Hong Kong Limited.

It is a service which allows PLDT HK customers to trade unused mobile data with other PLDT HK customers via the marketplace in the DENT app. The service runs through blockchain technology the utilizes DENT token as currency.

Customers who sell their unused mobile data and will receive DENT tokens that they can then use to top up themselves and others in Hong Kong, Philippines and 45 other countries through the DENT app. Users can also buy DENT tokens in the app by using their PLDT HK prepaid credits.

This is PLDT HK's way of providing innovative ways to serve the needs of OFWs.
