More than 30 banks across the country are on board this initiative, including those major banks like Bank of the Philippine Islands, BDO, Metrobank, Landbank of the Philippines, Philippine National Bank, among others.

The service, powered by Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas' InstaPay, enables users to electronically transfer funds to and from banks in real time as well as non-bank e-money issuers in the Philippines.

GCash claimed transferring money could take three minutes using your smartphone, and when we at GIZGUIDE tried it we were really impressed on how fast the process was as it only took us less than a minute.

As you can see in the photos below, users only need to input the needed bank account information, then GCash would send you a mobile message or an email confirming your transaction.

First time users can send funds up to PHP 20,000, but within two weeks of actively using the feature, GCash will allow them to transfer up to PHP 50,000 per day.

This is also in time for Holy Week as some Philippine banks, including BDO and Security Bank, would be closed to pave the way for system upgrades and to observe the Roman Catholic's sacred week.
