The triple rear shooters are composed of the 40MP f/1.8 RYYB sensor + 16MP f/2.2 ultra wide-angle sensor + 8MP f/2.4 3x zoom sensor paired w/ 4D predictive focus, AIS, color temperature sensor, and dual-tone LED flash.
The Chinese tech giant assured that its 40MP main camera is an improved version of the 40MP cameras found on the P20 and Mate 20.
For the selfie camera, it features a single, 32MP f/2.0 with AI HDR. It is one of the biggest selfie camera found on phones today.

However, when compared with the P30 Pro, this smartphone can only zoom up to 30x far only. Just like the pro version, you can find the the AI-assisted, handheld Super Night Mode shots both on wide or zoom, handheld silky water feature feature, and scene optimization.
The Huawei P30 has also an improved stabilization compared with its predecessors. But the stabilization is a bit behind the Pro's capability.
BUT, for the price, Huawei P30's camera features and capability are SUPERB!
Here are our first few shots!

It also has a great bokeh although it doesn't have the P30 Pro's ToF. The bokeh effect works well both on aperture and portrait modes.
The main highlight of this phone is of course the Super Night mode. It doesn't fail to capture great photos not just under low-light conditions, but it also takes photos under daylight with better exposure!
Another highlight is the 30x digital zoom! Although it can't zoom as far as 50x like the P30 Pro, it can still capture nice subjects even from afar. But expect that the photo has an accumulated noise when taken using the zoom feature. Remember, the iPhone and S10+ only comes with up to 10x zoom.

But the zoom photos taken by the P30 are much more clear than those taken with the other brands.
The selfie output of the Huawei P30 is another improvement. The selfies are better than those taken with the Mate 20 and P20. But personally, I still like the selfies taken by the other brands.
It may not be as smoothly stabilized like the P30 Pro, but I'm amazed at how the P30 can capture nicely stabilized handheld taken videos! Really for the price, this smartphone's camera capability is superb!
So far at this price point, it's a win for Huawei P30 when it comes to camera features.
